What Does an HWID Spoofer Actually Mean for a Valorant Ban?
Closed thread Closed by archiveI keep seeing the term HWID spoofer in game forums. From what I understand, HWID means hardware identifiers, and a spoofer is software that tries to present different identifiers to another program. But listings sometimes jump from that definition to implying a ban can just be erased.
Those sound like two different claims. A tool's description is not the same as an official decision from Riot, and I can't see how anyone should treat account access as guaranteed just because a product page says so.
Is that a fair way to understand the terminology?

People also shouldn't confuse an account suspension with a device-level restriction. Different things, different processes.
So the word "recovery" on a product page isn't the same as a successful appeal?
Correct. An appeal is reviewed by the platform. A third-party tool can't promise the platform's decision.
If you're facing a penalty, I'd start with the official support route and keep the receipts. Pun intended, sadly.
